1. Application Overview

MarkJeee Cash is a financial technology platform that provides users in the Philippines with access to short-term cash loan products. We process loan applications and, upon approval, disburse funds directly to qualified borrowers.

3. Personal Information We Collect and Why

To provide our services, fulfill legal obligations (including Anti-Money Laundering laws and Know-Your-Customer requirements), and prevent fraud, we need to collect necessary personal information. The legal bases include your consent, contract performance, legal compliance, and our legitimate interests.

A. Registration and Identity Verification Information

Information Collected: Full name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, government-issued ID details, selfie photo and liveness facial scan.
Purpose: To create and manage your account, verify your identity, prevent fraud, and comply with KYC and anti-money laundering requirements.
Data Sharing: Shared internally and with third-party verification service providers.

B. Contact and Location Information

Information Collected: Approximate location (foreground and background), device IP address.
Purpose: To confirm your residency in the Philippines, conduct risk assessment, and prevent fraud.
Data Sharing: Used internally for risk analysis only; not used for marketing.

C. Device and Technical Data

Information Collected: Device identifiers (IMEI/Android ID), device model, operating system, app usage logs, network information.
Purpose: To ensure secure operation, improve performance, troubleshoot issues, and detect fraud.
Data Sharing: Used internally and shared with third-party analytics/security providers (e.g., Adjust SDK).

D. Personal Contact Information

Information Collected: Names and contact numbers of immediate family members or close acquaintances (up to 4 contacts).
Purpose: For verification and as an alternative contact point – a standard practice in the lending industry for validation and collection.
Data Sharing: Strictly limited to verification and lawful collection; never used for marketing.

E. Camera and Gallery

Information Collected: Camera permission to take photos of ID documents and for face recognition; we do not access your gallery without explicit permission.
Purpose: Identity verification, liveness detection, and fraud prevention.
Data Sharing: Encrypted and shared internally.

F. SMS Information

Information Collected: We request SMS read permission only to automatically retrieve transaction messages or OTP verification codes. We do not read personal conversations.
Purpose: To simplify the loan application and verification process.
Data Sharing: Not shared with third parties except for fraud detection.

G. Installed Applications List

Information Collected: List of installed applications (non-sensitive package names only).
Purpose: To detect risky or fraudulent devices (e.g., emulators, screen recording apps, hacking tools).
Data Sharing: Used only internally for security assessment.

H. Approximate Location

Information Collected: Background location when permitted.
Purpose: Continuous risk assessment and fraud monitoring during an active loan period.
Data Sharing: Used only for internal risk scoring.

Encryption: Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256). Sensitive information is additionally encrypted using Base64 and other obfuscation methods before transmission to our secure servers located in the Philippines.

Regular Audits: We review our security practices periodically.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal information:

As long as your account is active or you have an outstanding loan.

For legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention, dispute resolution).

After the retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

As a data subject, you have the right to:

8. Account Deletion and Data Removal

You may delete your account and personal data in any of the following ways:

In-app deletion: Log in → Account Settings → "Delete My Account" → Confirm.


Your data will be scheduled for deletion within 5 business days, provided no outstanding loan exists.

 

Email request: Send a request from your registered email to support@markjeeesoftware.com. We will process within 5 business days.

 

Automatic deletion: If you have no active loan and have not logged in for 12 consecutive months, we will automatically delete your personal information.

Note: You cannot delete your account if you have any unpaid balance. All dues must be settled first.

9. Third-Party SDKs

Our App uses the following third-party SDKs:

Adjust SDK – for analytics and attribution (collects device data and interaction events).

Liveness Detection SDK – for facial verification (processes selfie and liveness data exclusively for identity proofing).

These SDKs act as data processors and comply with data protection laws.

10. Minors

Our services are not intended for persons under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with data, please contact us immediately, and we will delete it.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted in the App with a revised "Effective Date". Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance.
